| Greg Moore: A Legacy of Spirit |
Author: Dan Proudfoot September 2000 · Hardcover 144 Pages
Greg Moore began racing professionally when he was just sixteen. In 1997, at the age of twenty-two, he guided his Indy car to victory at Milwaukee, becoming the youngest winning driver in CART history.
This book portrays this young driver's life from his first forays behind the wheel in the parking lot of his father's automobile dealership to his races on major tracks around the world.
This book does not end with Greg's tragic death at the California Speedway in October 1999, but it focuses on his accomplishments as a race driver, his personal and family life, and the sense of humor he became known for. The book is rich with quotations and observations from those who touched his life and whose lives were touched by his.
Part of the proceeds from the sale of this book will go to the Greg Moore Foundation. The Foundation will support the work that Greg started on behalf of a number of local and national charities and scholarships. This authorized book is the only publishing project endorsed by the Moore family.
